ALLGEMEINE BESCHREIBUNG

With the Computer Controlled Unit to Study Vibrations in Machine Supporting Structures, "VMSC", the problems of vibration isolation and construction of supporting structures are studied through practical exercises. In order to carry out the study, a vibration generator is installed on springs. Through these springs, the absorption effects are studied with the vibration absorbers and various tunings are tested. The transmission of vibrations to the supporting structure is measured. An inductive displacement sensor is used to record the eccentricity of the imbalance masses.

The unit has a frame, a supporting structure, and a vibration generator that works as a machine. The vibration generator consists of two kits that are independently driven by servomotors, allowing generating forces with different directions and magnitudes. Rotation frequency and direction, eccentricity, phase position and frequency ratio can be adjusted. Such vibration generator is connected through dampers and springs to the supporting structure, where the effectiveness of vibration isolation is measured. The position of the vibration absorbers is changeable.

The supporting structure is attached to the frame through other helical springs. Due to the weight of such frame and the use of all the helical springs, as a double isolation of vibrations, the vibration-free operation of the unit can be guaranteed. There is a switch cabinet attached to the frame in which data acquisition, control and power supply systems are located.

With the Computer Controlled Unit to Study Vibrations in Machine Supporting Structures, "VMSC", the "PCVG" can be used as an alternative unit to generate vibrations by an imbalance in the supporting structure. These vibrations generated have different frequencies, since the unit has been equipped with a frequency converter. It is a single cylinder compressor with integrated motor.

Based on values such as acceleration, velocity and deflection of vibrations, you can measure and represent the different forms of vibrations used during the operation. For this reason, acceleration sensors are used to measure these values, such measurements are performed in different points.

This Computer Controlled Unit is supplied with the EDIBON Computer Control System (SCADA), and includes: The unit itself + a Control Interface Box + a Data Acquisition Board + Computer Control, Data Acquisition and Data Management Software Packages, for controlling the process and all parameters involved in the process.
