2.4.- INDUSTRIELLE ELEKTRONIK

Die Industrieelektronik ist ein Teilgebiet der Elektrotechnik, das sich mit elektronischen Systemen für den industriellen Einsatz befasst, d. h. mit elektronischen Geräten, die in der Industrie verwendet werden. Einer der wichtigsten Zweige der Industrieelektronik ist die Leistungselektronik, die sich mit der Entwicklung von elektronischen Anwendungen befasst, die hohe Spannungen und Ströme steuern und regeln.

Die Entwicklung der Industrieelektronik ist wie in allen Bereichen des Ingenieurwesens von den wissenschaftlichen Fortschritten auf diesem Gebiet geprägt. Die wichtigsten Entwicklungen in der Leistungselektronik sind die folgenden Halbleiterbauelemente: SCR-Gleichrichter, GTO-Thyristoren und vor allem IGBT-Transistoren. Diese Halbleiterbauelemente in Verbindung mit einer zentralen Steuerschaltung sind in der Lage, so wichtige Aufgaben in der modernen Industrie zu erfüllen wie die Steuerung von Elektromotoren, die kontrollierte Versorgung von Industrieanlagen durch Spannungs- und Stromregelung oder die Entwicklung von elektrischen Wechselrichtern und Gleichrichtern.

Die Industrieelektronik hat aufgrund der Entwicklung der Leistungselektronik und der Verbesserung der Steuersysteme, die immer geringere Installationskosten haben und in der Lage sind, höhere Leistungen mit präziseren Steuerungen zu bewältigen, noch einen weiten Weg vor sich, was ihren Einsatz im Elektrizitätssystem (was die Verbreitung neuer intelligenter Netze und Mikro-Netze fördert), im Verkehrssystem (mit Hochgeschwindigkeitszügen, Elektro- und Hybridautos, Elektromotorrädern usw.), in Beleuchtungssteuerungssystemen usw. ermöglicht.Die Einbeziehung dieser neuesten Fortschritte in der Industrieelektronik in all diese Sektoren erhöht die Energieeffizienz und trägt zur Verringerung der Umweltverschmutzung und zur Nachhaltigkeit der Systeme bei, die sie einbeziehen.
