7.2.- AUTOMOTIVE MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Die Automobilindustrie ist eine der Hauptanwendungen des heutigen Maschinenbaus. Das Fahrzeug mit Benzinverbrennungsmotor gilt als die größte Erfindung des 20. Jahrhunderts, obwohl die ersten Prototypen bereits Ende des 18. Der erste Prototyp stammt aus dem Jahr 1769. Es war ein Dampfwagen. Er war nicht erfolgreich, aber er setzte den Präzedenzfall für die Entwicklung des Ottomotors im Jahre 1860. Von dieser Entdeckung an begann eine unaufhaltsame Entwicklung und Automobilindustrien wie Benz, Peugeot, Fiat oder Ford wucherten. Mit der Jahrtausendwende begann man, die Nutzung anderer fossiler Brennstoffe, wie Diesel, zu untersuchen.

Heutzutage kann man mit allen verfügbaren Technologien und Mitteln das Verhalten aller Elemente, aus denen ein Fahrzeug besteht, in unendlich vielen Situationen kennen lernen. Dieser Wissensstand ist dank der Technik hinter jedem Entwurf, jeder Analyse usw. möglich. Einige der am meisten untersuchten Systeme sind:

  • Übertragung.
  • Bremsen.
  • Aufhängung.
  • Motorleistung.
  • Elektronik.
  • Emissionen.
  • Sicherheit.

Die Industrien, die mit dem Automobilsektor verwandt sind, müssen ständig weiterentwickelt werden, indem alle technischen strongchritte in ihrer Reichweite erforscht und angewandt werden, um wettbewerbsfähig zu sein und die Bedürfnisse der heutigen Gesellschaft zu befriedigen. Der Trend in diesem Sektor ist die Suche nach nachhaltigeren und umweltfreundlicheren Energiequellen sowie nach effizienteren Designs mit höherer Leistung, die mit dem Erscheinen von Hybrid- und Elektrofahrzeugen und Fahrzeugen, die von anderen Kraftstoffen angetrieben werden, wie z.B. Flüssiggas (LPG) oder Wasserstoff.
