In unmittelbarer Zukunft ist es das Ziel, das Konzept der Industrie 4.0 mit der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie (ICT) zu integrieren, um die Vorteile der IoT (Internet der Dinge) zu nutzen, Prozess Datenmanagement (Großdaten) und Wolkenspeicher (Wolke) für eine globale Vernetzung industrieller Produktionssysteme und Geräte.
