7.3.- WERKSTOFFTECHNIK

Werkstofftechnik ist der wissenschaftliche und industrielle Zweig, der für eine industrielle Interpretation der Werkstoffkunde verantwortlich ist. Anthropologisch wurden die verschiedenen Stufen der menschlichen Entwicklung nach den bei der Herstellung von Werkzeugen verwendeten Materialien klassifiziert (Steinzeit, Bronzezeit usw.). So ist die Entwicklung der Menschheit eng mit dem Studium neuer Werkstoffe verbunden.

In den letzten 200 Jahren wurden Entdeckungen über Materialien gemacht, die so aufschlussreich sind wie der Beitrag von Gibbs. Er zeigte die Existenz einer Beziehung zwischen den Eigenschaften eines Materials und seiner Struktur auf. Diese Entdeckungen ermöglichten die Entwicklung neuer Materialien, wie z.B. Graphen, und die Untersuchung neuer Bereiche, wie z.B. Nanomaterialien oder Nanotechnologie.

Um diesen Entwicklungsstand zu erreichen, wurde eine große Anzahl von Tests durchgeführt, darunter mechanische Biegetests, HärteTests (Rockell, Brinell, Vickers, Martens), Torsionsversuche, Zugversuche (Zähigkeit und Elastizität), Zugversuche (Kriechen), Scherversuche, sowie chemische Versuche (thermische Behandlungen, innere Strukturen, etc.). Ebenso können Materialien klassifiziert werden als:

  • Metalle (Eisen- und Nichteisenmetalle).
  • Keramik.
  • Polymere (Thermoplaste, Duroplaste und Elastomere).
  • Verbundwerkstoffe.

Die Anwendungen dieser chritte zeigen sich in verschiedenen industriellen Bereichen, wie den Automobilen, elektronischen, Luft- und Raumfahrt, Luftfahrt- und biomedizinischen Bereichen, was der Werkstofftechnik die Bedeutung verleiht, die sie in der heutigen Gesellschaft hat.
