General Description
The Surface Pressure Unit, "FME08", designed by EDIBON, allows to study the center of pressures with a partially or totally submerged quadrant.
This unit consists of a quadrant mounted on the arm of a balance that pivots around an axis.
When the quadrant is immersed in the water tank, the force acting on the flat, rectangular front surface will create a moment with relation to the support axis.
The tilting arm incorporates a pan and an adjustable counterweight.
The tank has adjustable legs that determine its correct leveling.
It has a drain valve.
The level reached by the water in the tank is indicated on a graduated scale.
