2.4.- ELEKTRONIK INDUSTRI

Elektronika industri adalah cabang dari teknik elektronik yang berfokus pada sistem elektronik tingkat industri, yaitu peralatan elektronik yang digunakan dalam industri. Salah satu cabang terpenting dari elektronika industri adalah elektronika daya, yang berhubungan dengan pengembangan aplikasi elektronik yang mengontrol dan mengatur tegangan dan arus tingkat tinggi.

Evolusi elektronika industri, seperti semua cabang teknik, ditandai dengan kemajuan ilmiah di bidang ini. Perkembangan terpenting dalam elektronika daya adalah komponen semikonduktor berikut ini: penyearah SCR, thyristor GTO, dan yang terpenting, transistor IGBT. Komponen semikonduktor ini dikombinasikan dengan sirkuit kontrol pusat yang mampu melakukan tugas-tugas penting dalam industri modern seperti kontrol motor listrik, pasokan terkontrol peralatan industri melalui pengaturan tegangan dan arus atau pengembangan inverter dan penyearah listrik.

Elektronika industri masih memiliki jalan panjang karena pengembangan elektronika daya dan peningkatan sistem kontrol, yang memiliki biaya pemasangan yang semakin rendah dan mampu menangani daya yang lebih tinggi dengan kontrol yang lebih presisi, memperluas penggunaannya dalam sistem kelistrikan (mendorong proliferasi skema jenis smart grid dan micro grid yang baru), dalam sistem transportasi (dengan kereta api berkecepatan tinggi, mobil listrik dan hibrida, sepeda motor listrik, dll.), dalam sistem kontrol pencahayaan, dll. Penggabungan kemajuan terbaru dalam elektronik industri di semua sektor ini meningkatkan efisiensi energi dan membantu mengurangi polusi dan keberlanjutan sistem yang menggabungkannya.
