概要
With the Braking and Accelerating Forces Unit, "MFF", practices and experiments can be carried out to study the relationship between the forces involved in the braking and acceleration of a vehicle. It also allows demonstrating the relationship between these forces in front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and four wheel drive.
The Braking and Accelerating Forces Unit, "MFF", is mounted on an anodized aluminum and steel structure. It includes a reproduction of a wheeled vehicle supported on a beam-type load cell.
The equipment allows the introduction of a pin in different positions to represent the center of gravity of the vehicle. Different weights representing the mass of the vehicle can be hung from this pin.
Pulleys, weights and ropes are used to apply different horizontal forces of braking or acceleration and inertia to the vehicle. The equipment also allows for varying the arrangement of the pulleys, weights and ropes to represent the different possible acceleration tractions.
To measure the forces generated on each axle, dial indicators are used to record the deformation of the load cell at the moment when all the forces are applied.
