化学反応器とは、化学反応を起こすことができる装置のことです。これは、その中で導入された物質の化学組成の変化が生じることを意味します。

彼らは、可能な限り最高の変換と選択性、可能な限り最高の結果を得るような方法で設計されています。それらは、実施される反応に応じて、反応速度を向上させる化合物である触媒を含んでいてもよい。この触媒が精製された酵素または酵素を含む生物であれば、バイオリアクターといえます。

反応器にはいくつかの分類があります：相の数（均質相と不均質相）、熱領域（等温または断熱）、運転の種類（バッチ、連続またはフローと半連続）によって異なります。操作の種類にもよりますが

  • 連続的に。攪拌タンク/完全混合(CSTR)、管状反応器/ピストンフロー。
  • 不連続です。攪拌槽（バッチ）。

フェーズの数に応じて

  • ホモジニアス。単相。固定ベッド、移動ベッド、流動床など
  • 異質なもの。いくつかのフェーズ。それらは、触媒的または非触媒的であることができる。触媒式不均一系反応器の最も一般的な例としては、固定床と流動床があります。

これらが最も一般的な反応器であるが、直列の複合反応器、酵素触媒反応器、再循環反応器など他にも多くの反応器がある。

技術の進歩により、プロセスシミュレーションシステムを用いて化学反応の速度論や原子炉の設計を研究することが可能になりました。また、化学業界のある種の問題を解決するためのプロセス制御や、環境規制への対応も進んでいます。

化学業界では、環境への配慮と連動して、環境制約に適合した、より最適な新材料、新触媒などの適応・研究を進めています。
